Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager assists in the completion of the day to day activities involving the maintenance of the production machinery. This position supervises and coordinates the work of employees who repair and maintain the production machinery in the plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares work schedules, assigns and oversees work while minimizing overtime.
  • Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance program for applicable machinery and equipment within the confines of an annual budget, and tracks maintenance downtime.
  • Arranges for, coordinates, and manages appropriate third-party contractor support as needed.
  • Prepares Maintenance budget and secures estimates as needed.
  • Keeps up on technological changes, and maintains up-to-date records for all local, state and federal mandates and inspections.
  • Enforces sound safety practices.
  • Provides training for new and existing employees.
  • May conduct performance evaluations of subordinates and make recommendations for salary adjustments.
  • Assists in the selection of new hires, employee coaching and disciplinary issues.
  • May perform other or specified duties as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the window and door industry.
  • Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience is required for this position.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, machine repair and maintenance, plant layout, and safety experience required.
  • Familiarity with associated hand/power tools in the disciplines above required.
  • Strong knowledge of plant/OSHA health and safety standards and compliance, and a fundamental understanding of applicable governmental regulations.
  • Advanced knowledge of maintenance programs as they relate to plant and corporate KPI’s and Continuous Improvement activities and initiatives.
  • A fundamental understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Knowledge of door and window production machines, tools and maintenance, and how they relate to plant production and maintenance goals and objectives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound technical, leadership, teamwork, decision making, problem solving, and organizational skills required for this position.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and work effectively as a team player throughout the plant with individuals and various plant teams.
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Mechanical Design Engineer 

Vytex Windows is seeking a Design Engineer to design and develop new products and product improvements; and provide engineering support for all aspects of assigned product line to ensure functionality, quality, and cost.

Required essential job qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or design environment; building products market preferred.
  • Proficient skill set in AutoCAD, MS Office; experience with a 3D modeling program is a plus
  • Utilize manufacturing input with the intent of producing products that are easy to manufacture and install
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
  • Possess qualities including good communication and organizational skills, integrity, and accountability
  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Window Installer (Subcontractor)

Vytex Windows is looking to add top quality subcontractors to install our custom vinyl windows in our MD/VA, Cleveland, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh area markets.   We are looking for expert level window installers with a minimum of 3+ years of residential installation experience to be considered. We are growing quickly and can offer stable work year-round.

Qualified Candidates will possess the following: 

  • 3+ years previous window installation experience
  • Residential installation experience is a must
  • Must have your own Liability Insurance and any Worker’s Compensation Insurance where required

Measure Technician

Vytex Windows is currently seeking an experienced Measure Technician to join our growing team in our MD/VA area markets! In this position, you will be responsible for visiting customer sites daily, taking measurements for windows and doors, and documenting the labor necessary for installation.

This role offers a competitive hourly salary, plus a company vehicle and gas card. We offer medical benefits and 401K with a match program.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The preferred candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience measuring replacement windows and/doors
  • Estimate quantities of all materials that are requested and required for a specific project being quoted
  • A friendly demeanor is required since measurements are taken in residential and business locations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a professional demeanor
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English
