State-of-the-Art Hopper Windows — Included as Part of Our Fortis Vinyl Window Series
Vytex Windows proudly manufactures and installs top-of-the-line hopper windows. Our hopper windows are available as one of the many styles in our mid-level Fortis vinyl replacement window series. Similar to casement- and awning-style windows, hopper windows pivot open on a hinge. But, while casement windows are hinged on the side, and awning windows are hinged at the top, hopper windows have hinges on the bottom. And, while casement and awning styles both open outward, away from the house, hopper windows tilt inward.
Advantages of Hopper Windows
Hopper windows are commonly installed in small, hard-to-ventilate areas, like bathrooms and basements. This is because the entire hopper window can be opened at one time (compare this to double hung and sliding windows, which can only be partially opened). The configuration of hopper windows allows for maximum air ventilation using only a small amount of wall space. Hopper windows are also a popular choice for basements because the tilting angle prevents dirt and other debris from entering the home. And, because they tilt inward, they don’t provide any obstruction to walkways or landscaping.
Our Hopper Windows
Our hopper windows are exclusively available as part of our Fortis window series. With state-of-the-art features such as VyCore™ foam insulation, an interlocking sill and sash system, and a tight, mortise-cut sill dam wall, Fortis windows are an excellent choice for many homeowners. And, Fortis windows come with one of the thinnest, most aesthetically pleasing frame designs on the market, making them a very stylish option.
