Why Are Vinyl Windows Considered the Best?

Vinyl replacement windowsOnce a small segment of the replacement window industry, vinyl windows have skyrocketed into popularity in recent years. The rise of vinyl began during the 1970’s energy crisis when wood and aluminum framed windows ran the industry. Designed for modern homes and backed by technology and innovation, vinyl windows have since become the most popular replacement window due to several key factors:

Durability

Vinyl windows are made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), a common building material that is heat, water and UV resistant. This means your windows will never mold, crack, bend or peel, making them ideal for any climate. Lasting as long as twenty years or more, you can feel good about investing in vinyl windows.

Superior Energy Efficiency

Efficiency and heat transfer is a common problem for older windows. Modern vinyl windows are designed to offer superior energy efficiency and commonly include options like multiple panes of glass, low-e coating, foam insulation, magnetic seals and more. Vinyl windows offer exceptional insulation; keeping your home cool in the summer and warm in the winter, which means a more comfortable home and lower energy bills.

Low Maintenance

The color of your vinyl windows will never fade, chip or scratch and they don’t require sanding, staining or painting. A simple cleaning with mild detergent and water, is all that’s necessary to keep your windows looking brand new. They’re virtually maintenance free.

Low Environmental Impact

In addition to lower energy use due to their superior insulating abilities, vinyl windows are recyclable. They’ll not only last longer than wood or vinyl windows, but they’ll have less environmental impact too.

Boosts Home Value

Homebuyers are often looking for efficiency and therefore pay close attention to windows. Older windows can be a red flag to buyers. Investing in vinyl replacement windows before you sell your home is one of the best ways to boost your home’s value.

Sound proof

Not only is vinyl is a great insulator for heat, It also helps dampen outside noise. An  with adequate weatherstripping, creates a barrier to keep out unwanted noise. Additionally, insulated vinyl frames, which are filled with foam, also block outside sound and help soundproof your home.

Had a contractor in NJ replace 17 windows using Vytex Windows in the spring. The windows are very strong and look high end. The new windows definitely helped with the drafts. Our old windows were original from 1987 and our home was freezing in the winter and hot as an oven in the summer. The new Vytex windows definitely got rid of the draft issue we had and the difference is very noticeable especially in the bedrooms. Next on our list is a new patio door from Vytex.

I am writing a nice review on my Vytex window experience. We are in new jersey and had all new windows installed about 10 months ago as well as a Vytex patio door. Our home was very drafty and made it very uncomfortable in the cold winter months and just as bad when it was hot in the summer. Our home is now much warmer and quite noticeable. The difference was equally noticeable this past summer when we had a heat wave; our home was much cooler...
