Our Bay & Bow Windows Offer Unparalleled Elegance & Innovative Features
Vytex is pleased to manufacture and install state-of-the-art bay and bow windows. These elegant windows are included as style options for our Potomac-hp, Fortis, and Georgetown vinyl replacement window series.
What’s the Difference Between Bay & Bow Windows?
Bay windows include three window panes, which project outward from the side of a house. The center pane is typically inoperable, while the two side panes can usually be opened and closed. Bow windows are similar to bay windows, in that they also project outward, but they include more window panes, creating a curved look.
Homeowners love bay and bow windows because of the elegance they bring to a room. Their outward projection visually enlarges the area and allows for more natural light to filter in. The configuration of the panes also creates a shelf area, which homeowners can use to display picture frames, plants, and other décor. Plus, because bay windows can typically be opened on both sides, they allow for outstanding ventilation.
Our State-of-the-Art Bay & Bow Windows
At Vytex, we include a number of impressive features to set our bay and bow windows apart from the competition. They come with insulated seat boards, which allow for greater energy efficiency. Plus, we include ¼-inch all-threaded steel rods between the struts to tie the head and seat boards together and provide added strength.
Our bay and bow windows also offer homeowners a wide array of customization options. Our bow windows, for example, are available in three-, four-, five-, and six-lite configurations. And, our bay windows can be constructed with either casement or double hung side panes.
